Minaret
The minaret is a dominant of the Lednice chateau park and a symbol of Lednice and Valtice Area. Its construction was accompanied by substantial problems, particularly during the establishment of the structure in the marshy terrain. The bedrock had to be reinforced with 500 oak piles, on which the building was founded. The minaret was designed by architect Joseph Hardtmuth and built in the course of 1797–1804. From the gallery in the height of nearly sixty meters you can see almost all the constructions of the estate; there is also a beautiful view of the Pálava hills in the west and the Little Carpathians in the east.
